HallMonitor – Provides sensors and software for a new research project in Sweden
The project, led by the Center for Sports Research (CIF) in collaboration with Linköping University, aims to map and analyze the use of sports halls with the goal of promoting a more efficient utilization of these facilities.
The research project focuses on identifying opportunities to improve the capacity utilization of sports halls in Swedish municipalities. With the data and insights expected to be generated by the project, new strategies can be developed on how sports halls can be used more flexibly and for the benefit of a broader segment of the population.
HallMonitor contributes to the project as a provider of both sensors and software, enabling the real-time registration and analysis of sports hall usage, fully GDPR-compliant with no handling of sensitive personal data. This solution, already in use in more than 40 municipalities in Denmark, provides precise data on when and how the facilities are used, which can help municipalities make informed decisions about planning and resource management.
